[He so does not believe her.

But it would be rude to disagree more when she's so convinced.]

I see, I see. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime. [He considers for a moment.] Or maybe I'll get Iwa-chan to do it for me, he's always very bracing.

Iwa-chan?

[She can't hear their banter very well from the stands, unfortunately, so she's not sure who that one is.]

My darling Iwa-chan! The spiker to my setter, the ace to my captain~

Though we're tragically separated for now. [He pauses, pretending to consider whether any of that would be useful in identifying Iwaizumi.] He's the cranky one who used to yell at me.

--- Oh! Oh, now I remember. He was really, really good!

[And you know, Yui was also an ace in her team. Tragically, they were never even half as good as the Karasuno boys' team, and she still believes it's her fault, but the past is the past.]

You guys didn't go to the same university then?

He was! It's unfortunate he stuck by me through high school, I always outshone him. [Oikawa's joking when he says that, and comes off as entirely fond. He doesn't know what he'd have done without Iwaizumi for those three years and he's not sure what he'll do without him during university, but that's a then problem.]

We're not, [he sighs, it's mostly for show but he really is a bit upset that he won't have his ace with him to keep fighting.] Iwa-chan's joining the workers of the world until he's old enough to join the police force. [Oikawa shakes his head.] I always new he was a brute, but I didn't know how much of one until he told me that was his plan.

Eh... Really? But I thought you two worked well as a pair. I don't think you can get that without you trusting him a lot, right?

[It's an innocent question, but she has heard that he was super good. She knows that Seijoh was something like a giant hurdle for their team before, because of how good they were. She smiles at that, though, giggling a bit.]

You're saying that, but... doesn't that mean you'll miss him?

[She may not be as good as he is in volleyball, but she can be observant in other parts.]

[Oikawa grins at that, he likes anyone who can see through him when he's all but lying.] Oh. I'm not sure. I'll be terrible busy you know. There's volleyball and school, lots of new girls to charm, who has time for missing childhood friends?

[He'll find time, he's sure, and he's not looking forward to it, but he can deny it all he likes at times like these.]

Aww, don't say that! Everyone's got time for friends, right?

[And she'll even deliver a playful punch to his shoulder-- or well, it's playful for her, maybe more painful for him.

Sorry man, she doesn't know her own strength sometimes.] I wish my friends visited me more often here.

[Yep definitely painful, not bad though, makes him think of nicer times with ace spikers lobbing volleyballs a his head. The blow knocks him a step backwards but he keeps his balance. He rubs his shoulder, trying to keep his smile in place.]

Well, I can visit again, if you'd like. [He might stand a couple of steps further back in future, though.]

A convenience store probably isn't the most fun place to meet though.
