bike as in motorcycle or regular bicycle?
It's kind of annoying at times, but that's what makes Kuroo him.
He has a flush on his face:"Thanks. But you look better than me." Tsukishima can't believe they are both so nervous about this that they are just repeating themselves.
bicycle! kuroo is not yet cool enough for a motorbike, sorry tsukki, you're dating a nerd
They reach Kuroo's bike and he unchains it, winding up the bike-chain and tucking it into his bag, which he then hooks over the handlebars. "Put your stuff on here, I'm pretty skilled at this." Because he's had plenty of practise rolling his bike when Kenma doesn't want to sit behind or in front of him.

He puts everything where Kuroo tells him to, a bit relieved that he doesn't have to carry it anymore. "Is your house close?" Because he used bike to come to the station so Tsukishima guesses it needs a bit of travel by foot.

"Not too bad, ten minutes if we don't dawdle or anything." He sure is kicking himself for just saying dawdle. Dawdle is not a cool word that boyfriends should use, he's just going to, start getting the bike moving towards his house, because that's the easiest way of skimming over that he can think of.

"Yeah, it's great. Don't go expecting a mansion or anything, though." It's convenient but the trade off is that it's tiny. Bigger than a shoebox, but not by much. He's got enough room to exist along with his mum, but he's honestly pretty glad that Tsukishima's going to be sharing his futon so he won't have to rearrange anything to squeeze him in.

"That's fine." Tsukishima's house is on the bigger side but not too big either. Their family is big so they need space or they will be in constant fight. And even if there was enough space, Tsukishima would probably, maybe, most likely ask to share futon with Kuroo. Or just slip in without saying anything.

They slip into comfortable silence as they walk, though Kuroo keeps glancing at Tsukishima to grin, because he really came all this way for his birthday, even bought him a present.
A little over ten minutes later, they turn the corner into Kuroo's street, and he points up towards his house. "That's home, sorry it's not much to look at." It's wedged right between two other buildings and it only escapes being called an apartment by not sharing a front door with one of them. They keep a tiny pot plant behind the gate at the insistence of his mum that they will have a garden even if it's only that and they both forget to keep it watered.

Kuroo's not the only one stealing glances- Tsukishima's doing that as well, only very subtly, barely noticeable. He has to keep himself in check because if he stares at that pretty grin for too long, he'll get all red in face with random thoughts (about kissing him to death in the middle of the street).
He's happy that they arrived soon at Kuroo's place. Tsukishima gives the house a glance over- as he said before, he doesn't really care how it looks or how big it is, as long as it's Kuroo's. "But they say that small houses are the coziest ones." He likes it. The plant needs watering, though, it looks as if it came out of some horror game.

"It's going to have you in it, that'll make it pretty cosy if nothing else does."
He unhooks the bags off the bike and drapes them over his shoulders instead, scrambling around for his key in his pockets. A smart guy would have found the key first, but Kuroo's sense is still tied up in his smile thinking about Tsukishima, and thinking about having Tsukishima here.
Eventually, he decides that this isn't working, and hands one of the bags off to Tsukishima. "Hang onto this for a bit?"
no subject
Well... that sounded like a dirty joke. Tsukishima had to bite the inner side of his cheek to stop himself from laughing and making retort to that. He takes the offered bags:"Sure." Those are his bags after all.
no subject
"So..." He's grinning, wider than he was before if that's possible. "We're not in public any more."
no subject
"Mm. We are." Does that mean kisses? Lots of kisses? Because he's looking forward to them.
no subject
"So, I can kiss you now?"
no subject
He reaches out and grabs front of Kuroo's shirt, pulling him closer. "I don't know." He hovers his lips just above Kuroo's. "Can you?"
no subject
So no, not really a short kiss.

Tsukishima's fingers in his hair feels nice, makes this more real and solid, helps Kuroo remember that he's got him here. Kuroo keeps the kiss going as long as he can, but eventually he realises that he does have to breathe, and it's much harder to do that with his tongue in Tsukishima's mouth, he draws back, but ducks in to give another, more chaste, kiss to the corner of his mouth, before moving further along to Tsukishima's jaw, then his neck.
